Keep it Simple for New Users                   (with LED button prompts, and No learning curve)
Keep it Simple to Deploy in your product  (no complicated software & no licenses)
Keep it Easy to See                                  (with HUGE backlit 9.2mm characters)
Keep it Robust & Reliable                         (mature design with 10 year history)
Keep it Very Cheap                                   (only $195 each)

By SIMPLE, we mean:
    - User keypresses (or optional card swipes) are sent to the application in the host, and
    - Characters (& commands) sent by the application are sent to the Screen, Beeper or Door Relay.
Simple as that.  Your host software does its own work 100%. You are not dependent upon the inner workings of a black box that may need difficult upgrades to keep up with various issues.

Our "retro-design" can be the best solution, when you are faced with eye candy of the latest fads. Applications are many... such as:
    - serving as a Check-in terminal for attendance and/or access to child-care, classrooms or other events.
    - a remote Point-of-Entry terminal to enter data regarding jobs on the factory floor.

All this is without a cumbersome dedicated PC at the remote location.

Your custom keypad graphic can contain any placement of Buttons (up to 21) and LEDs (up to 8), which you may supply to us as an Adobe Illustrator file (sample file) (template file).  Or, we can draw up the design using your ideas, for a nominal engineering fee.  LEDs can be placed on the graphic, and are often used to guide the user to which buttons are active in the current screen. Buttons can be placed at the sides of the screen, and be used to select from screen menu options that you display.

A door strike Relay is included, and it operates upon command from host PC software, allowing controlled access to a facility.

The optional Card Swiper is a thin rail attachment across the top of the unit. It can be used for:
1 - Credit card transactions with host PC software.
2 - Serve as a user identification (no $$ transaction), and can use ANY card (i.e. store membership card), after first swiping to establish ID with host PC software.

Communication with the host PC (and your host software) is accomplished via choice of -
1 - Serial port- with cable length up to 100+ feet
2 - USB port - with cable length up to 14 feet (or 100+ feet with inexpensive optional converter).
3 - Ethernet - using the user's installed network cabling.  A green "link status" LED in upper left corner indicates a good network connection (a major aid to your support calls).  With keypad commands, the screen can show the IP Address, MAC Address, and Link Status. This device can also be accessed with any web browser, in order to set device configurations.
4 - Ethernet with Power over Ethernet cable - up to 328 feet (extra cost).
5 - Wireless - with range up to 1000 feet (extra cost).

These products are manufactured in the US by Litek, and our turnaround time is very good, because of our in-depth parts inventory, and because these terminals (and their software) are mature with great reliability.

Warranty (parts and labor) is in effect for the life of your software product that uses it, however we do charge a nominal fee for repairs that are due to wear and tear, damage, or customer modifications that interfere with operation.
Opening the case is very easy, and does NOT void the warranty.
